HOW TO HOOK UP TP-LINK WI-FI EXTENDER

Plug it to an electrical source near the host router to assure proximity during the setup process. Switch on both the devices. Wait until the power LED is lit on both. You can now connect them via the WPS method or using the web browser. The WPS method is easier between the two. If it doesn't work, then follow the other method. Pressing the WPS buttons on the devices one after another will link them both. The WPS LED indicates the successful connection of the TP-Link wi-fi extender.


  • Go through the steps below to get to know the procedure for hooking up the Tp-Link wi-fi extender.
  • Plug the extender into an electrical outlet at the upright position.
  • Make sure you place the device and the router in a suitable range.
  • Turn on the extender and wait until the power LED remains idle after lighting.
  • Locate the WPS button on the router and press it for a few seconds.
  • Press the WPS button located on the center of the extender within two minutes of releasing the button on your host router.
  • Wait until the WPS LED is lit on the extender indicating the successful WPS connection.
  • Repeat the steps above to connect to a dual band network.
